Long time no update!

Wow lot's and lot's has happened since my last update:

January was a hectic time for my work and Scott's school. But I managed to keep up with SOME of my new years resolutions.
1. Make a  piece of art/create something each month. January, I was inspired by all the pistachios we received in our Christmas stockings to make something out of the shells. I was first going to make a sculpture. But it  would take too many shells, then I decided on a wall piece. I played around and it turned out pretty neat:
All I used was an old beat up mat board from highschool photo class, a glue gun, and pistachio shells.

This will make a perfect interior decorating piece. I'm going to make 2 more this size and hang them all side by side on the wall :-)
2. Scott and I have been waking up together in the mornings to eat breakfast together, read our scriptures, and stretch (starting the day out right). It's been hard, but worth it!

The end of January I got extremely sick. I was sent home from work early the last Friday in January then the next week I took of on Monday to finish up recovering. But then Tuesday and Wednesday (3rd and 4th) ended up being snow days! :-) Scott's school shut down and so did my work!
This measures about 11 inches, but in some parts it was more like 12, especially after it snowed again.

Got our walkway semi shoveled.

Took forever to get all the snow off our cars.

Scott shoveling our driveway :-)

They don't believe in plowing around here. they "plow" the "main roads" (that's about two roads) and dump piles in front of neighborhood entrances. So we literally have to dig out our road. When Scott and I were shoveling our drive and digging out our cars we noticed a lady get stuck at the beginning of our neighborhood road. Scott was so kind and dug her out so she could continue on. We both helped push her car out of the ditch. It was a really nice moment until she shoved $15 dollars at Scott and just headed off.....took away from the good feeling of service we had. Just like the time I decided to give a wonderful pistacio muffin to my neighbor just because and he paid me for it, shoved the envelope of money under my door. Ug.

Our cute snow covered house.

It is sooooo cold!

Grateful for my moon-boots which have lasted me since high school!

Our freakin' annoying neighbor insists on parking in front of everyone elses house instead of their own. Scott had dug out that spot so he could park there so we didn't have to move our cars every time someone wanted to leave, and the neighbor took it again. I've talked to them about this and they still take our parking spots in front of our house when they have   1. Their driveway they don't use. 2. space for two cars in front of THEIR house!

Crazy icicles!

So the 4th was also the 2 year anniversary of when Scott proposed to me, so we celebrated during our snow day. We also did our traditional chalk mural inside on a chalkboard because everywhere was covered in snow outside.

February 4, 2012 (Actual proposal- Pennsylvania)

February 4th, 2013 (1 year anniversary- Pennsylvania)

February 4th 2014 (2 year anniversary, and snow day- Kansas)

I also made a little blanket out of some old yarn I've had forever, didn't get to finish because I ran out of yarn, but it looks cute. :-)
Scott and I have also finished painting the kitchen. We just need to find time to order the cabinets and put them in, then we will have a kitchen! WOOOOOHOOO!

So yesterday was Valentines Day, and Scott has a Law Conference (in Kansas City) this weekend so he was gone all Valentines Day. I felt pretty lonely but he came home late that night with these :-)

2 dozen roses. :-)

I added some to the bouquet of carnations he had gotten me Friday the previous week. So pretty :-)

Today Scott is gone most of the day at the law conference again. Then Monday I leave to Wisconsin for a Work conference. I will be gone untill late Friday evening. In our 2nd year of marriage and it's getting harder and harder to find time to spend with each other....I don't like this.
