First Post

Hello,

My name is Ginny Mae. I recently graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Art and had a custom clustered Minor of Dance and Health/Exercise Science. I currently work as a physical therapy aide. However,  I view myself as an artist, but that does not pay the bills. So I've decided to go on for more schooling to become a PTA (physical therapy assistant). Before I left for college I was deciding between art and becoming a Physical Therapist. I have no regrets choosing Art. I've learned a lot through the years and have really found myself. I especially don't regret going for my art degree because I don't think I would've ever met my husband, Scott. He is my perfect match.

Scott and I met at a country dance out at college my last semester. He had already graduated and was working in Utah, but had to return to Idaho to renew his license. We danced quite a few times and he hung around to talk to me and my friend. When the dance was over I stopped to chat with friends before leaving, and he came up to talk. He then reluctantly said goodbye and turned to walk away....but the next second was back at my side. He said he had wanted to ask for my number. "I don't know, you might be a creeper", but I was just joking. And by the look on my friend's shocked faces, they thought didn't quite understand it was a joke. I could see his shoulders slump a little, but then I gave him my number. There is so much more after that but I'm going to give the short version. We dated back and forth between Utah (where he was working) and Idaho for a while then one day Scott asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history. :-)

I graduated  after a little while and stayed with my sister for a few weeks, who lived near Scott, near as in 20 minuets from Scott. So we had a little more time before I moved back to Pa. (Below is a pic of us camping with my sis and her fam).

Scott drove me to the airport to say goodbye. It was bitter sweet, yanked so hard at my heart. I had never felt that way before.
He had decided to move out to Pennsylvania so we could date more. The long distance was torturer but didn't break us apart. We even dressed up for Halloween together (over skype).
He flew out to visit me in PA and I visited him and his family in Idaho one last time  (for Thanksgiving) before he flew to PA.

The day Scott proposed it was quite cold, but a decent day out. He had been talking about doing a chalk mural of our dates together for a while. It was so much fun putting it together. When we had finished I had to run back home really quick to get something (I think it was a charged battery for the camera so we could document the mural) and when I came back we admired the mural, and took some pics. Scott then proceeded to guide me to the other side of the tennis wall, where he had drawn something. It took me a few seconds to realize it was something to pose in front of for a picture. Scott kneeled down to pose and I felt something was up. I asked him what he was up to, but  then his hand twitched and I saw a shiny thing! I jumped back from surprise and he jumped up to catch me. He thought I was running away. We both were shaking so hard.

Needless to say I accepted and here I am! We got married on May 12, 2012. What a magical, and hectic day. Our reception was in a historic round barn. It was absolutely stunning.

Here is our wedding video, it's pretty dang long (20 mins). But it starts with childhood pictures, goes through the wedding day events, and ends with us running away to our honeymoon. (still has a few glitches in it, but I wanted to get up what I've got for those who've been asking because it will be a long time till I get it perfect or I never will, haha. It takes so much time).

Well that's it for my introduction.
