Happy Valentines Day!

Happiest Valentines Day Weekend to everyone. :-)

It's been a while since I've posted anything due to the lack of energy and time at the end of the day. But I'm once again getting motivated to get back on top of things! Wooohoo!

Otay, so Liam is 3 months old now and just as cute as ever.

A few weeks ago we had a heat flash in Topeka and it felt like spring in January. So we made the most of it, and took Liam to the zoo for the first time.

Later on the same night Scott and I went on a date just the two of us. :-) (*eating a sprinkle cone outside in JANUARY!)

I've also finally finished Liam's quilt. And in true Ginny fashion I made it up as I went along and didn't really measure or follow a pattern...so it's not very clean and not the perfect size, but I think it turned out cute for using fabric found at yardsales.

So Scott's 29th birthday was February 7th, and I had planned a fun Lego themed party for him...however, I got extremely sick the day before so we had to cancel. So it turned into an "epic fail" party, but at least I tried.

Lego pizza
Epic fail white chocolate Lego marshmallow head
 Scott's Lego birthday cake
 Soooooo many candles!

And for Valentines day Scott got me chocolates and my faaaaaaaaaav perfume (my first "big girl perfume") and put in the laundry room so I could find it in the morning when I did laundry.
Then I put Scotts Valentine in his garage. We are so sexist, haha!

Today Scott actually had off work, and we were able to go to church as a family.

Happy 2015!

Happy 2015 Ya'll! I just know this is going to be a good year. Might be hard but I know it's going to be full of adventures. :-)

So I just had to post this because it was so dern cute. Scott, Liam, and I were reading before bed and Liam fell asleep holding Scott's hand. :-)

So for New Years, my siblings were able to visit (minus Stacey). It was really great to see them and have Liam meet his aunts and uncles, even if we were all sick. :-)

\

My sister is pregnant, she gets very hungry sometimes. Haha.

Bonding with Uncle Justin.

New Year's Eve we watched movies in the Theater Room, Chatted, Drank Bubbly, and ate 7 layer dip.

Liam is getting so big!
I ended up going to bed with Liam after the first movie, then woke up at 11:50 to celebrate new years. Everyone was pretty much asleep so Scott and I watched the ball drop with Doug and then we set off a firework (1st was a dud....so we technically set off two).
Soooo tired, but excited for the new year.

Liam also became a thumb sucker this week...
and he's become more stable while sitting up, practically does it on his own. He also tried to roll over, got so close but is still workin on it.

Sitting up! My sweet baby boy.

Wishing you all a splendiforous 2015!

Liam's first Christmas

Well, it was Liam's first Christmas, and it was just lovely :-).

So this year we made and decorated gingerbread cookies to give out, though Scott ate the whole first batch before we could decorate, so I had to make another one! Silly boy.

Liam and I baked them, Scott helped decorate. :-)

We watched a Christmas movie while decorating.

I had my office Christmas Party, at the Prairie Band Casino resort, which was a lot of fun. :-)

We raised enough money to have our CFO (I think that's his title...) eat a spoonful of mayonnaise.
And to have our CEO stand up and yodel for one whole minuet. :-)

Christmas Eve we dropped off gifts to the family we "adopted" through the Christmas Bureau. The Christmas Bureau is a program run through my work. Basically what the Christmas Bureau is, is an "adoption agency" for families who can't afford Christmas or are going through a rough time. So families sign up to be "adopted" and people either adopt them, buy gifts, and deliver the gifts to the family themselves;  or they donate money to the Christmas Bureau so someone else can adopt a family and buy the gifts. We didn't have any extra money but we wanted to help out. So we volunteered to shop and deliver the gifts to a family. Wow, what a humbling experience. This poor woman lost her job, was kicked out of her home so now she was living in a rotting out old house in a bad neighborhood, her adult son moved back in with her with his son, whom he just got custody of, and she had 2 teenage daughters. They seemed extremely grateful, and I'm glad we were able to help in some small way. I felt extremely humbled-- I thought we've had it a little rough and are barely making it by, but we actually have been so extremely blessed and I need to be more grateful.

After playing "Santa", we went to dinner at a Chinese buffet that Scott's been wanting to try.

Then we drove around and looked at the Christmas light displays in Potwin.

And we finished the night off with family time and a Christmas movie.

Cute lil' Liam

Liam loves the Christmas tree

Christmas morning I was woken up early. I honestly thought I wouldn't have to worry about the early morning Christmases until Liam was a little older, but I forgot about Scott. It was adorable being woken up by my two excited boys. :-)
Scott and Liam found the pickle first, so they got to pick the first present. :-)

Stockings! I still need to make Liam's stocking...

Liam's first gift.

My mom made Liam this adorable sweater. He looks so handsome in it. (bad lighting in the pic though)

That night Liam fell asleep so fast and stayed asleep most of the night! Seriously "Tranquil Turtle" was worth every penny. :-)

Looking forward to seeing my siblings for New Years.
